bernie schmidt

bernie schmidt songwriter composerbernie continues to build his catalogue as songwriter and film composer: A co-write with Kirill Shirokov released on both sides of the Atlantic on Michaela Foster Marsh's album "Seriously Red", the soundtrack for Eduardo Dutra's comedy short film "Audition Day", and composer and music supervisor for "Mission Possible", a documentary on overachieving youth.

Successes include Jody Gibson ("Gone" going to number one on "Independent Country Top 40" and “Last Surrender” released on the “Musique 75” label), three independent albums and a collaboration with Zuviri on the now released "El Paraíso".

Zuviri

Zuviri has led a nomadic life through Mexico, the United States and Canada. Leaving home at an early age, he has been a sea cadet in the Caribbean, a tuna fisherman, and an officer on a Pacific passenger ferry, all the while composing songs which he carried around in his head.

His desire for change and challenge led him to Toronto, where he now teaches Spanish and performs his songs to growing audiences. He released an EP in 2009, was a top finalist in the “Toronto Latin star” talent contest and worked with bernie schmidt on "El Paraíso", an album now available for download, that explores loss, obsession and redemption through the prism of relationships.
